DISTRICT SCHOOL.

A meeting of the Committee of the District School was held ut the Star and Garter Hotel, on Monday last, the 25th instant, to appoint an assessor for the current year. There were present— Messrs Filleul (in the chair), Locke, Payne, Shrimski, and Gibbs. Miniutes of previous meeting lead and confirmed. Applications for the office of assessor were read fiom Mr J. Y.
