WHANGAROA COMPETITIONS.
Question of Kerikeri’s Change-over When the North Auckland Union and Bay of Islands Sub-union officials met at Ohaeawai on Wednesday evening, they were asked by delegates from the Whangaroa Sub-union if something could be done so that Keri- ► keri Club could play in the Whangaroa competitions in order to conduct a competition. The Whangaroa delegates pointed out that only two teams were nominated this year and that unless Kerikeri joined in, it would be impossible to conduct a competition. Mr. L. J. Brake, president of North Auckland Union, said his Union could not force Kerikeri to leave the Bay and join up with Whangaroa and added the matter was one for the Bay to arrange. He suggested the best policy would be for the Bay officials to meet the Kerikeri players, point out the position, and ask them if they would be agreeable to play in Whangaroa until that Sub-union was again on its feet. The Bay delegates, who were agreeable to loaning Kerikeri, said they would carry out this suggestion.
