Mangonui County Times AND NORTHERN REPRESENTATIVE.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 1904. Ourselves.
“What right, what true, what fit we justly call, Let this be all my caro—for this is all.” —Pope.
As the telephone bureau in Mangonui will shortly be opened, we beg to remind subscribers ancl correspondents who have the interest of their district at heart, that the “ County Times ” is a journal, perfectly independent, and established with a view to obtruding the just claims of this hitherto neglected district. Consequently a welcome will that wall tend to promote tne prosperity of the community. We recognise the labour involved in writing lengthy correspondence, and therefore welcome the advent of the bureau, which will enable our correspondents to telephone their news without cost—wc pay this end. The opening of the bureau will be duly notified. Bright, pithy news of general
interest is what we want. We take this opportunity of thanking our many friends and subscribers for their good wishes and hearty support, and at the same time assure them that the “County Times” has come to stay.
