INTERCESSION
Teach me. O Lord, the way of Thy statues: and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Thy law: yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.—Psalm cxix: 33-44. We pray for our beloved Empire, that Thou wouldst exalt it in righteousness. and keep it true to the highest traditions for its past; for our gracious Sovereign King George and all the Royal House, that Thou wouldst encompass them with Thy favour: and for all rulers, counsellors, judges, and magistrates of the realm that Thou wouldst guide them with Thy wisdom and keep them in Thy fear. We pray for all nations, that Thou wouldst deliver them from oppression, and lead them in the way of peace.
