P. CHAPMAN. Managing Secretary. Nelson Hospital Board ISSUE OF RATION BOOKS ■/OR two weeks commencing on 19th * October 1942. NEW RATION BOOKS will be available at all Post Offices and Rationing Offices. Form <>i application is the "O" counterfoil in the old book. The name and address of the applicant must be entered on the counterfoil in block letters, together with date of birth in case of children j under 17 years of age. The ration book j must bo presented to the issuing officer with the counterfoil. After 2,lst October secure rationed commodities as follow s : j TEA Coupons 21 to 26 inclusive in the old 1 ration book arc cancelled and may not be redeemed. Coupons 1 to 4 in the j new book avail during November at a value to be announced later. Arrangements for subsequent months will be duly notified. Tea coupons may be redeemed at any shop. SUGAR Consumers must remain registered with retailers and may redeem coupons only at the shop where they are registered. Changes of retailers must be approved by Rationing Officers in all cases except where they are occasioned by changes of residence. The name of the retailer with whom a consumer is registered is to be entered by the retailer in the space provided inside front cover of the new ration book. CLOTHING The "O' coupons in the old ration I book may be used for purchase of rationed clothing on and after 19th October, 1942. These coupons have the same rating as the *'M” coupons, and both sets may be redeemed at any time up to 31st May, 1943, or such other date as may be notified The clothing coupons in the new ration book may not be redeemed before Ist June. 1948. ior such other date as may be publicly advertised. OFFENCES Section 11 of the Rationing Emer- i genev Regulations provides that it is an offence for any person to acquire i rationed goods from a trader without the surrender of the appropriate number of coupons.—J.
