Mrs Keith Silcock. whose husband, Pilot Officer C. K. Silcock. has been awarded the D.F.C.. is at present living In Auckland and recently accepted" a position on the staff of St. Culhbcrt’s College. Wing Commander E. Carauus. Director of Educational Services. Royal New Zealand Air Force, is visiting Nelson. The following Nelson members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. recently returned lo New Zealand: T Capt. Wood. A.C.. D.C.M.; Mr E. A. Wood. 4 Scotland street (f). Gunner Potior, D.A.: Mrs M. J. Potter. R.M.D., Uppei Moutere im). Captain Wood arrived in Nelson to-day. Mrs Edward Drake, of Christchurch, is spending a holiday in Nelson and is the guest of Mrs F. Savage. Kawai street. Pilot-Officer C. H. ("Mac" • Baigent has recently been promoted in England to Flight-Lieutenant, a double step. He arrived in England last January. and since May has been captain of a Stirling bomber on operations over Germany. including the 1000 bomber raid on Bremen.
