FINE FOR CENSORSHIP BREACH Napier, Aug. 31. Charged with a breach of the cenj sorship publicity regulations. James Holt, aged 76, appeared before MiMiller, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court ' this morning. For defendant, Mr L. W. Willis said his client was a man of excellent character, belonging to one of the largest building firms in Napier. In sending such information overseas he now realised how foolish he had been. “This is just another case of a ■ highly respectable citizen who has ( j erred, but in this case he had written i | a most careless letter which I am < i quite certain he would not have writ- ( I ten 20 years ago without thinking t twice about it.” said the magistrate, j The public had been warned not to j divulge information in letters. Defen- i j dant was fined £5.
