THE HAPPINESS CLUB

The members and friends of the Happiness Club held another successful flag 500 evening in the Civic Tea Rooms, and the funds for soldiers' parcels will benefit considerably. Thirtythree games were played and the winners proved to be Mr and Mrs Pryor, Mrs Sherwood and partner, with 18i flags. The consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs Powrie and Mrs Hughes. Mrs Winstanley and Mrs Linton. The travelling prizes were won by Mrs Cullen and Mr Bolton. The special prize went to Mr Adams and the special table prizes to Mrs Scott. Mrs Mansell, Mrs Parker and Mrs Herford. After the cards a dainty supper was served and Mrs A. Clements, president. thanked all present for making the evening so enjoyable and invited them to next evening, which would again be held for soldiers’ parcels.
