ROUND-UP OF JEWS

DEPORTATION FROM FRANCE London, Aug. 27. A Vichy message quoting "Petit Parisien” says the last Jews of foreign nationality who entered France since 1936 have been rounded up in the unoccupied zone to-day for deportation to eastern Europe. Vichy occupation authorities have ordered mayors to erase the names of all Jews from the civil register, thereby depriving them of ordinary civil rights.—P.A.

BULGARIAN MEASURES

(Rec. 9.50 a.m.) Rugby, Aug. 28. The Bulgarian Government, according to Paris radio, has approved of 59 laws against Jews last night. All Jews in Bulgaria must henceforth wear a yellow star and their premises must be specially marked. The Government reserves the right to deport any number of Jews over the frontier.—B.O.W.
