NEW ZEALAND AIRMEN

CANADA DOES NOT FORGET THEM Sergeant Observers Tom Irving, Don McKenzie, Hugh Morrison and “Shorty” Reay—names which are familiar to many Prince Albert citizens who entertained the New Zealand airmen during their training here —are either killed or reported missing overseas, states a Canadian paper.

This information was contained in a letter received by W. B. Giles, of Prince Albert, from Charlie Chilton, another New Zealander and friend of the four boys, who also trained at the A.O.S. Irving was killed during air onerations over enemy territory, while Reay is missing after air operations. McKenzie and Morrison were killed while completing their training in England. Sergeant Reay, who is now reported as prisoner of war in Germany, is the son of Mr and Mrs W. G. Reay, of Appleby, Nelson.
