ROADS

Roads that twist and wind about, As though they’re never ending: Climbing; up and down the hills. Winding round the slopes, forever bending Tracks that wander round the peaks. And lose themselves among the snow, Straying through the forest’s depths. Hand in hand with Time they pace, ever slow. Paths that stroll between the trees. As though they’re lost in dreamy thought. It’s here you find the lasting peace. You never found but always sought. —Fay Baynes (14yrs) Tahunanui.
