IT ISN’T FAIR
(Original) It isn't fair at all, I think, when grown up people say That when they were little children they were good all through the day; That they always kept their faces clean and never made much noise; In fact that they were always just the "goodcst” girls and boys, For as wc didn't know them then wc can't say they were not. We can only just imagine they were naughty quite a lot. They say they never growled at all when they were told to work, That they always did it smilingly, and never thought to shirk. Father says to be like him. Mother, to be like her, They say that they were always good bill I don't believe they were. —Elsie Arnold, Motupiko.
