WOMEN’S INSTITUTE i Mrs L. Cowin presided at the meeting lof the Molueka Women’s Institute, ; which was held in St. Thomas’s Hall The motto for the month was “Speak kind words and you will hear kind I echoes.” The roll call. “A wintei j meatless tea dish.” was quite interesting and some unusual Vecipes were given Mrs Cowin welcomed back one of the members, Mrs Richards, who has been ill and unable to attend for some time. Tlie president also spoke a few' words I of farewell to Mrs McCulloch, who has 'been with the Institute for some months. Mrs J. Boyce sang two songs, J which were very much appreciated. A demonstration of Iceland poppies made of paper was given by Mrs Temple, who was accorded a hearty vote •of thanks. Several letters were read from boys overseas, who had received parcels sent by ladies of the Institute. Mrs Camp read the monthly serial which is very interesting. A very dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses.' Mesdames G. Smith, 11. Smith and C. Starnes.
