HUTT ROAD MOTOR FATALITY
INQUEST CONCLUDED ON TWO VICTIMS (By Telegraph—Press Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. The inquest was concluded this morning concerning the Hutt road motoring fatality on 20th December as a result of which Ivy Adele Byron and Chandos Richmond Batkin lost tlieir lives. The coroner, Mr Barton found deceased met deatli by being thrown from the folded hood of a car where they were sitting, as a result of a sudden swerve. The evidence satisfied the Coroner that alcoholic liquor had been consumed by the occupants of the car, but the evidence of the two principal witnesses was too unsatisfactory to enable him to say whether the driver had been participating in the drinking or not.
