VICTORIA WANTS CARLTON
(United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 18th January. The Victorian Athletic Association also wants Jim Carlton to compete at the forthcoming championships and are bringing pressure to bear in order to cancel his New Zealand arrangements. Carlton interviewed to-day said: “I am awaiting developments from New Zealand before I give Victoria an answer.” Carlton is particularly keen on meeting George Simpson in New Zealand.
