WOOL BY AUCTION
EXPERIMENT AT BUENOS AIRES
FEW SALES RECORDED
(United Press Association —By Eleotrio Telegraph—Copy right) BUENOS AIRES, 14th January. The wool sale attracted a large number of municipal and national authorities, as well as wool buyers, but bidding was not at nominated prices, being a small fraction of a penny above the upset price. One lot was withdrawn because there were no bids. Sales were confined to Southern territories. Wools totalled less than £150,000. Only 11 sales were recorded, consisting of six lots of better grade, and five lots of “scraps.” The lowest price was approximately 4d per pound, and the highest sd. Prices were not above those recorded for private sales in the last few days at the Central Produce Market.
