NEWMAN SHIELD MATCH WAIMEA V. MOTUEKA The Newman Shield cricket match between Waimea and Motueka commenced at Wakefield this morning. Waimea won the toss and batted. Papps and Jenkins opening. At 11.30 o’clock rain caused an adjournment of play. The score was then 39 runs for the loss of no wickets.
