FINED FOR BOOKMAKING
RESULT OF POLICE RAID (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day r . Robert Hector Peak, as a result- of a police raid on his confectioner’s shop in Moles worth street, was to-day fined £3O for bookmaking. Although the police alleged that he was doing a substantial business in bets, Peak said that his business was small and that he was acting for another bookmaker on a commission basis.
