CONTEMPTIBLE ACTION
(To the Editor! Sir,—That this is the age of . chivalry must bo doubted when we find instances as the following actually occurring. An aged and lonely widow residing at Brightwater who had left her premises locked up while absent from her home for a short time, on returning discovered that the iron had been removed from part of the wash-house roof and her wood supply stored therein raided. Such a contemptible action on one practically helpless stirs the righteous indignation of every chivalrous citizen.—l am, etc., J FAIR PLAY. 13th Jan. /
