BELIEVED TO BE DROWNED
(By Telegraph—Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, 13th January. A fisherman named James Smith is believed to have been drowned in the \\ aitara river. lie went to the river mouth in a dinghy to set nets and his upturned boat was found on the river bank. Seai’ch has been made and the river dragged, but there is no sign of the missing man. Smith was married, with two children.
