PLEA FOR ECONOMY
(To the Editor) Sir, —In your report dealing with the recent deputation to the Waimea County Council on the above matter I am reported as having said that my “Union favoured a reduction in wages.” This is an error, as “salaries” was the word I used and if uncorrected will possibly give a wrong impression. We consider that it is on the “executive” side that the Council could and should be able to economise very considerably. I am etc., D. I. LLEWELLIN. Orinoco, lltli January.
