This DayA reduction in stakes from £4660 to £4OOO for the Autumn Meeting lias been made by the Avondale Jockey Club. The Club experienced a sharp decline in totalisator investments at the Spring Meeting last September, the amount handled, £63,671, representing a decrease of £22,932 compared with the 1929 Spring Meeting. An important turf announcement is that the champion Phar Lap in future will run under the partnership of Davis and Telford, the latter having acquired half an interest in this gelding, which won £46,862 in 18 months.
