(By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, This Day. The .Mayor to-day wired the Unemployment Board: “Understand seven hundred men on unemployed register. Position desperate. Men prefer work to sustenance. Suggest Board authorises at least. £2009 for work. Relief depot closed. Consequently men are starving.”
