THE NELSON GOOD TEMPLARS

The weekly session of the Hope of Nelson Temple was held in the Rechabites Hall presided over by Chief Templar Sister M. Graham. The programme for the evening was entitled a “Fancy Dress Parade” and proved both interesting and amusing, the various characters being veiy well represented. Sister Joan Mitchell represented “Chance”, Sister M. Graham “Summer,” Sister Joan Williams an “Old Lady,” Sister L. Mitchell “Rosebud,” Sister K. McEwan, “Danger Signal”, Brother Jack Williams a “Clergyman,” Brother Owen Mitchell “Pirate”, Bro. J. McEwan a “Baker” and Brother W. McEwan “Ruination.” Sister L. Mitchell played a piahoforte solo, and recitations were given by Sisters K. McEwan and N. Burton. Several brothers gave an exhibition in the art of self defence. Brothers Noel Burrell, R. Watson and Sister L- Mitchell were the winners of competitions. The session closed with the provision of icecreams and lollies by Sister Mrs Watson. Sister Mrs Holloway distributed pamphlets and leaflets sent out from England. The item for next week was announced as “Surprise Packet Night.”
