STEAMER DETAINED

SHORTAGE IN CREW (By Telegraph—Press Association) DUNEDIN, 9th January. The Norwegian steamer June will be clear of her phosphate cargo early next week, hut will be detained at Port Chalmers, as half the crew are stranded at Lyttelton. They walked off there as a protest against the food served to them during the voyage to New Zealand. It is stated that the men will probably rejoin the vessel here.
