Miss Mercedes Gleitze has accepted an invitation to participate in a women's endurance swimming contest beginning at Sydney on 29th January, and she will leave New Zealand on 23rd January. She will start a local endurance swim in the tepid baths on Friday and on about Tuesday will swim from Rangitoto Island to St. Heliers’ Bay. t
