COMMERCIAL
NAPIER WOOL SALES
NO CHANGE IN VALUES (By Telegraph—Press Association) NAPIER, This Day. Bidding at the second Napier wool sale this morning was more spirited than at the December auction, but buyers appeared to be operating on stricter limits, and when the first two catalogues had been disposed of it was apparent that the values for all classes offering were about on a par with those at Wednesday’s sale in Wellington. The attendance of buyers was fully representative, with Bradford making most of the running on average fleece wool, with occasional Continental opposition. American buyers appeared to be confined to super wools. A large proportion of the offerings at the commencement of the sale were sold at the values offering, though one or two whole lines were passed. The offering totalled nearly 18,000 bales. There was a 9000 quota and showed a decrease of 4000 odd bales on the second Napier sale last year.
