POLITICAL TRIALS

SECOND TO BE STAGED PLANNING TO INVADE RUSSIA (United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (‘'Times” Cables) LONDON, Bth January. The “Times” Riga corespondent says that the Soviet has completed the chief arrangements for the second series of great political trials which are being staged to “unmask” foreign politicians who allegedly are planning to invade Russia. The trial is being held at Minsk, the capital of the White Russian Soviet.

Full details of the indictment have not been published but the principal charges are against White Russian intellectuals with Nationalist and democratic leanings for having plotted against the Soviet with White Russians of Poland, and also having sought Polish military assistance.

The names of prisoners' selected as most suitable for the trial have not been announced but the Soviet authorities summoned to Moscow two hundred Red factory delegates from White Russia for a five day discussion of tire plot. Felix Cohn, known as the oldest Polish Communist, harangues the delegates, emphasising that White Russia is a specially important position in'the union of the Soviets as the advance post in the coining war.
