MONTHLY MEETING At the monthly meeting of the Nelson Land Board there were present: Messrs A. R. Edwards, J. O’Regan, W. Blackadder and F. W. Gibbs. In the absence of the Commissioner of. Crown Lands, Mr A. R. Edwards was elected chairman.

Applications for land:—Section 4, block xiv, Howard survey district, area 1100 acres. Capital value £SO deposit on deferred payment £2O. Half-yearly instalments on deferred payment £ls 12s: Resolved to grant Mr J. Coleman section 4, block xiv, Howard survey district on deferred payment license at a capital value of £SOO. Section 888 and 889, town of Westport, area 1 rood each, annual rental for each section £2. Situated in Derby street: Resolved to grant sections 888 and 889 town of Westport to Mr C. D. Elley at an annual rental of £4. Section , block ix, Brighton survey district, area 98 acres, capital value £l2O. Half-yearly rental £2 8s: Resolved to grant Mr A. M. Ross a renewable lease over approximately 864 acres being/part of section 2, block ix, Brighton survey district at a capital value of £l2O and weighted with £l2O valuation for improvements in favour of State Advances Department. Section 13, block iii, Totaranui survey district, 14 acres. Applicant, L. Manson: Resolved to grant an occupation license at an annual rental of 10s. Cancellation: Section 27, Puponga village. Area 1 rood 32 perches, F. A. Allan: Resolved to cancel license. Forfeiture: Sections % and 4, block xv, Kaiteriteri survey district and sections 10 and 14, block i, Motueka survey district, O. C. and C. G. Wilkinson: Resolved to declare leases forfeited. Correspondence and Miscellaneous:— Part section 165, blockll, Takaka survey district, area 59 acres 1 rood. C. T. H. Wilkinson: Resolved to confirm decision of 11th December to reduce the annual rental to £lO. The Board also dealt with 11 items in committee.
