WINNING BETS TAX NOT UP TO EXPECTATIONS (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) ’ (Received 9th January. 9.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Treasury officials estimate " that revenue from the 10 per cent, tax on winning bets has been collected at the rate of £1,00(1000 a year. This amount is just half the original estimate of tire Premier, Mr Lang.
