NEW ZEALAND BUSINESS (By Telegraph—Press Associatien) WELLINGTON. This Day. , Appreciation of the action of the Postal authorities in making available to the public of New Zealand air mail services in other portions of the Empire and the United States, is shown by returns from the Post Office. Since the Ist July last, when the scheme came into operation, approximately 7000 letters have been posted in New Zealand for conveyance by air mail services. from Karachi to London, and in Australia. Canada and the United States. By far the greatest number were for transmission by the Karachi-London service. There are over 8000 miles of air routes in operation in Australia.
