FIRE AT HASTINGS

DAMAGE TO STOCK (By Telegraph—Press Association) ' HASTINGS, This Day. Fire broke out in a shop occupied by Buckley Bros, gramophone and musical instruments dealers, in Heretaunga •street, shortly after midnight. The stock was much damaged, but the brigade made a splendid save, and ■ extinguished the flames before they had spread to adjoining premises. Mr Armstrong, ieweller, and Mrs Jones, ladies’ outfltter, suffered damaged stock from smoke and water. Buckley’s stock was insured for £6OO in the Queensland Office, but the insurance on. the building, which was not extensively damaged, is not available.
