Mr Justice Davidson scathingly criticised the evidence given by Dr. Ross in the Massey will case, and the doctor, who was then chief - medical officer at the Reception House, asked to be relieved of his duties. Subsequently the medical board held an inauiry into the conduct of Dr. Ross and the charge of unprofessional .onduct against him was dismissed.
