PERSIAN ART IN LONDON (United Press Association —By Eleotrio l’felegraph—Copyright) LONDON, sth January. To make “The Golden Journey to Samareand” it is only necessary to visit tlie International Exhibition of Persian Art assembled from all parts of the world at- the Royal Academy under the patronage of His Majesty and the Shah. A preliminary view discloses the delicate tracery of priceless illuminated manuscripts, historic carpets, centuries old, also weapons, jewellery, glass, crystal, paintings, tissues in. a profusion unimaginable outside the Arabian Nights. The most striking display is contained in a showcase guarded by a radiovisor light, with a sensitive bridge. Any interruption of the ray releases a switch which illuminates the place, giving a warning signal at the main entrance and turnstiles and closing all doors.
