RIFLE SHOOTING

NELSON CLUB I At the monthly of the Nelson Defence Rifle Club held last night I the executive decided the following programme for the month: “That the butts and targets be put into proper order before next Saturday’s competition and all targets be kept in working order in case of breakdown.” This will minimise delay on shooting days. Saturday. 10th, a competition of 10 shots each at 500 and 600 yards for Robinson trophy and Wastnev Cup. Saturday, 17th, a championship at 200 and 600 yards. Saturday, 24th. a championship at 400, 500 and 600 yards; a shell case to be won outright in this competition and Wastney Cup will also count. February 7th, a championship at 500 and 600 yards. Shooting for Mr T. A. H. Field’s trophy will commence on the 24th; three competitions, counting the two best. WAIMEA CLUB The fortnightly shoot of the Waimea .Club was held' on the Brightwater range on Saturday at the 600yds range.
