REVIEW OF PAST YEAR (United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright) (Received Cth January, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Reviewing the past calendar year the chairman of the Stock Exchange, Mr Brownhill, said that one had to go hack to the early stages of the war to find a parallel year. The part of the year just closed had been very critical, and the stock exchanges of Australia had even deemed it advisable to restrict forward dealings, a step which had not been taken since the war. The production of wealth in 1930 decreased by many million pounds. ‘T consider that during this year we shall go through a period of reorganisation and readjustment. The cost of production will have to be readjusted. I earnestly hope there will he no inflation in Australia.”
