MISS COPPLESTONE BREAKS RECORD (By Telegraph—Press Association) HAMILTON, This Day. Miss Lily Copplestone. entering the water at Cambridge, swam 33£ miles down the Waikato river to Ngaruawahia in 8£ hours, breaking the Australian and New Zealand record by 3i, miles. Miss Copplestone swam the double trudgeon stroke all the way and was going strongly when she finished.
