FRENCH WINE CROP
LOWEST FOR TEN YEARS (United Press Association—By Electric Telograph—Copyright) PARIS, 31st December. Owing to the rainy weather the wine yield is the lowest for ten years, and is equivalent to only to two quarters per capita of population, which is a famine ration. Italians are already shipping large quantities to France, some of which has been excluded on the ground that it is impure. It is likely that the heavier Algerian type will be largely availed of to meet the deficiency.
