WITHDRAWAL OF LABOUR SERIOUS SITUATION THREATENED (United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 31st December. The Lancashire Weavers’ Association, supported by nine unions with a membership of 290,000, decided to withdraw all labour from the mills where more looms per weaver system has been introduced. The decision threatens a serious stoppage in the cotton industry on Monday, resulting in a standstill of the whole trade in a few weeks.
