lIIELAN’ MEN, FAE HIE’LEN GLEN

The sports held under the auspices of the Nelson Provincial Scottish Society in the Botanical Reserve took place to-day under ideal weather conditions and a fair attendance during the morning, which was much augmented during the afternoon. The day’s proceedings started with a parade from the Church Steps, competitors and pipers, local and visiting, taking part, followed with a inarch through the city streets to the Reserve. The morning’s results were as follows : . March and Dance. Ist prize 30s, 2nd 7s bd (two competitors).—A. Brash (Motueka) 1. R. W. Hilson (Christchurch) 2. Highland Fling (under 12).
