They have telegraphed, ilia Foreign Office urging that they be given a lien on surplus assets in the hands ofthe Public Trustee amounting to £lo.y 000,000 which it is understood the Gov* ernment intends to credit to' the reparation fund. They base their claim on the Versailles Treaty, by which' Germany undertakes to compensate fully damages to allied nationals in the countries.'of her allies. . -
