MEETING OF CREDITORS
DECEASED ACCOUNTANT'S ESTATE
QUESTION OF INSURANCE MONEYS
(By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, sth August.
A meeting of creditors in the bankruptestate of Leonard Osborne Atkinson.. public accountant, who was killed in a motor accident in January last, was held to-day. It was stated that the total amount set down as owing to unsecured creditors was about £1758. The executor of the will stated that the balance of assets, after disbursements, was £136 12s Bd. A request was made for the fullest particulars regarding life insurance policies, and the executor replied giving details of five life insurance policies held by deceased showing that the total amount paid out was £1904 6s 3d. Rumours that insurance moneys totalled £3OOO were absolute nonsense. It was decided to seek legal advice as to whether the creditors were entitled to anything out of insurance moneys. J. L. Arcus, one of those who had investigated the affairs of deceased, considered that there was an estate they had not yet been able to find. The meeting was adjourned sine die.
