CUNARD LINE'S PLANS

HULL OF.NEW VESSEL LAID NEW YORK, 23rd July. Captain McNeill and the officers of the Mauretania, sent their congratulations to the captain of the German liner Bremen when she finished her record-breaking trip from Cherbourg to New York. The Cunard Line,' which owns the Mauretania, has already laid down the hull for a liner with which it hopes to win back its speed prestige. The Bremen’s best day’s steaming was 713 miles and for the entire trip she averaged about 32 miles an Ifour. A sun deck and night club occupy the top deck of the Bremen, forward from the aeroplane catapult, which was used to deliver mails into New York while the steamer was still five hours away.
