A WOMAN'S DEATH

BLENHEIM, This Day. Violet Chaney, married, aged 40 years, a resident of Kaiapm, was a member of a party proceeding in a car to Picton on Saturday night. When near Grassmere, for some unexplained reason the car went over a culvert. Mrs Chaney was pinned beneath the car and fatally injured. A following car took the injured woman to Seddon, but she died on the way.
