A mining catastrophe at Waldenb'urg, ill Lower "Silesia, killed 24 and •if is feared 12 others will not recover. Firedamp suddenly broke out like a hail of fire, and spread through a shaft 1350 feet below the ground. Twelve of those who escaped were shockingly burnt.
