Willie Smith (England) has com-' menced a billiard time limit match against the New Zealand champion McConachy at the Y.M.C.A. hall in Sydney. ' (Received 30th July, 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. McConachy is 1889 (breaks 764, 532, 183, 182); Smith 1678 (breaks 182, 365, 433). The New Zealander was in splendid form on the first day, which is regarded as very satisfactory, as he is a notoriously bad starter.
