After a trial lasting three months, Hugo Stinnes, Leo Hirsch and Rothman Schneid were acquitted of attempting to defraud the Government by conversion of new into old war loan certificates. Stinnes’ secretary Von Waldow, and also Bella Croos were sentenced to four months’ imprisonment each. Eugen Hirsch was fined 3000 marks.
