The Biggest merger in the history of the British motor industry is in process of formation says the “Daily Chronicle." It will involve five large companies and two accessory firms. The primary objects are to fight foreign cornpetition and build a special combined effort car for sale on the overseas markets. This will probably conform closely to the modern American practice at a. competitive price. It is expected tho merger avill outrun tho advantages of multiple purchase of raw material and common sales depots. It is probable several existing British car models will be scrapped, eliminating self-competi-t ion.
