Early last night a fatality occurred on the main Maungatautari road, about seven miles from Cambridge, when a light motor truck .owned by A. W. Head, driven by his son, Cyril, with whom were a younger brother, Willoughby John, "also ' a sister, Irene, skidded in loose sand at the bottom of a bill, crossed the road and crashed through a fence. After completely somersaulting, it was pulled up by the driver who with his sister remained in their seats throughout. Willoughljy John, aged 13 years, was thrown out and killed, apparently as the result of the truck passing over iliim when it somersaulted.. * Death was instantaneous. The other two occupants had a miraculous escape as the truck pulled up near the brink of a precipice.
