SHOCKS AT TAKAKA
The following telegram has been received from Mr W. J. Smith, postmaster, Takaka:—"Light shakes experienced last night at 5.30 and 6.4 p.m. and 2.25 a.m. Three much longer and of more severe nature preceded by very loud detonations felt at 4.16 a.in., 6.52 and 6.54 a.m."
